"Touche de Fantaisie" 2019
Une touche de fantaisie is made from Altesse grape which is typical from Savoie in France. A relatively unknown grape in the hands of Vincent Chollet and you get a fantastic wine. Definitely in the top 3 of the moment. Full bodied, incredibly well balanced with a loooong finish. It reminds me some Chenin Blanc from Loire Valley in France.
Aging: Oak barrel
Drink before: 2027
You won't like it for the Apéritif. This wine deserves a real meal. I would definitely go for poultry and old cheeses. Open it 2-3 hours before.
Must be served at: 11-13°C
Vincent Chollet and his wife Valérie are now in charge of the family estate. Located in the heart of the vines with an outstanding view on lake Leman, the estate counts 7ha of vines divided into 35 parcels for a result of 31 different wines! Main grapes are Chasselas & Plant Robert but also Mondeuse. It impossible to dislike the wines, they are all worth it. We are always amazed how everything can be elegant AND intense. A huge work for an excellent overall quality! Good Job!
